August 32, 2026 – Washington D.C.

The Commercial Space Federation (CSF) is pleased to welcome Outlier and Rendezvous Robotics as its newest Associate Members, bringing expertise in reusable satellite platforms and adaptable spacecraft assembled in orbit to CSF’s diverse membership.

Rendezvous Robotics is building spacecraft that assembles in orbit, allowing missions to scale beyond the limits of a single rocket. Our modular architecture can build more capable spacecraft that can be expanded and reconfigured as mission needs change.

Building on magnetic self-assembly technology demonstrated aboard the International Space Station, our mission is to build a new era of adaptable spacecraft assembled in orbit.

“In-space assembly enables new missions and capabilities that are constrained today by how spacecraft must be built to fit inside a rocket,” said Joe Landon, co-founder and president of Rendezvous Robotics. “Joining the Commercial Space Federation gives us the opportunity to work alongside the companies shaping this next era and help advance the policies, partnerships and operating environment needed to make modular, adaptable spacecraft a reality”.
